Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for local charity

three peaks challenge

On July 6th-7th Pat George, Lovell Stone Group’s Director of Operations, will be taking on the mighty Three Peaks challenge to raise money for The Three Ells Trust.

The Three Peaks Challenge is no mean feat and involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland (Scarfel Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis) within a mere 24 hour time frame. The logistics of travelling between these three peaks within such a short timeframe is in itself a challenge but, coupled with then having to climb each of them, it really is a test of mental and physical fitness. Pat and his team, called The Three Peaky Blinders, will be walking in excess of 26 miles including over 3000m of vertical ascent. More used to walking around 18 holes than climbing mountains, he is training hard and covering as many hilly miles as he can in the run up to early July.

The Three Ells Trust is an incredible Dorset based charity that aims to make a difference to the lives of children, and their families, who have cancer or other life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
